                                                                                  This time I am doing workshop organized by VACHA

these are the girls who have just appeared for ssc exams and waiting for the results. I am enjoying more this time- because these are the most sincere students I have in any workshops. every one shot pictures. presented on time. and even made a Power point presentation themselves. this has never happened before.

soon i will be adding more pictures on the same pages.

workshop is over. this is the first time that all the students selected their own images and made a power point presentation. they also spoke well during the presentation, which i feel, is much more important.
we went to national gallery of modern art to show our students the work of homai vyarawala, first indian woman photo-journalist. it was different to visit the gallery with 30 odd students, who has never visited any gallery earlier. but the experience was great.

DeCAD means Devrukh collage of art and design

I went to devrukh. this was my second trip to the collage of arts and design.
my last trip was two years ago- when i went there with Salve Sir and Dharmendra Singh ..and Mahendra damle.
that time i screened my two short films in the collage.
this time too- i went to screen two short films. and both of them are made with Mahendra Damle.  

Mahendra has taken the responsibility of teaching process of arts in the collage.
now he is being called - co-ordinator.
i understand this. he is passionate about teaching art. and this is very rare.
(Most of the art teachers are teaching as flop artists. teaching they are doing- just to fill the belly.)
thats why when I see people who are really dedicated to their profession-I salute them.
and these are the people who are really successful and never get frustrated with what they are doing.
in that regard I would like to mention my friend Ajay Brahmatmaj who is dedicated to film journalism in Hindi
and dedicated to this. when some one offered him to write a screenplay- he simply denied.

  well today i want to mention my trip to Konkan.
i had never visited Konkan by train. though i was in the inaugural train journey with the chief minister of Maharashtra as a member of  press party. that was the first train on the track and people were looking at the train standing by track. it was a very emotional scene.
i took the dadar- ratnagiri passenger train. i was happy to get the reservation.
i am travelling in a passenger train after a very long time.and i loved every moment of it.
Konkan is beautiful. full of water bodies and hills.
and the collage...
i reached devrukh 1.30am
there was a connecting bus from sangmeshwar and i traveled in it like virar local.
devrukh was fast asleep.
few dogs were barking.
it was night. rare one for any one coming from Mumbai.

i met Vikram Paranjape. he is teaching art in the collage. I met him last time too. but that time we really did not sit and talk. but this time it was different. this time i sat with him and we spoke for an hour.
he want to paint my portrait.
